Translate Mild and Moderate Annoyances Into Money

In most cases when something irritating happens to people, their emotional reaction is quite a bit greater than it would be if they lost an amount of money that coincided with the amount that it would take to fix things (or the amount that they would take in return for enduring the mishap.) 1. I agree. I’ve gotten to the point where I expect people to be rude.
So, when I am behind someone in the Express lane (marked 10 items or less), and they have way more than 10 items, I don’t say a word because it is not worth it.
If someone cuts in and out of traffic, I don’t blow my horn because there’s a much higher chance that that this could trigger a road rage incident than the wayward driver would feel badly about his or her actions.
